Pink Hill Manor, My Valentine, many more

I have been a follower of the blog and admired everyone's work since the beginning but I never posted before.  I felt like my stitching didn't measure up to all the amazing stitchery that you guys post but I've finally gotten brave enough to share.  Here's my 2013 Blackbird Design finishes so far:

Pink Hill Manor using recommended floss but mystery linen. It is stitched for my sweet niece, Rachel Elizabeth Gay

Moonlight Visitor stitched to honor my Aunt Brenda Gay Holland using recommended thread and mystery 32 count fabric

Swan Lake to honor my youngest niece, Josilyn Renae Gay aka Josi.  It was stitched using the recommended floss but again mystery 32 count fabric.

My Valentine still waiting for "honoring" and stitched on 30 count with recommended floss

Bluebird's Message using recommended floss and 28 count fabric

And To All A Good Night using recommended floss and 30 count fabric

I'm currently working on Happy Birthday and hope to add it to the completed pile later this month. Can't promise that because I'm leaving on Wednesday to head back home  to Atlanta for a visit so might not get too much stitching done for awhile.

Anniversaries of the heart - Bonus pattern of Swan Lake

Hi, dear friends! My progress on my huge project: Anniversaries of the Heart: part 3. As you can see it, I personnalized this Bonus! Instead of the Abc, I wrote: Anniversaries of the Heart in happyness' houses.
Lots of love to you all.

Anniversaries of the Heart

I am happy to report that I finished up my Anniversaries of the Heart!
I had so much fun with this sampler, trying to figure out which beloved family member would be featured in each block.  I changed the personalization in For Those Recorded Here to reflect more of me as the stitcher of the sampler.  The Irish verse relates to the town where we live.
And the full thing--

AOTH & Winter Wonderland

Happy Monday Everyone!!

I am sharing 3 finishes with you!! First is AOTH block #2 Valentine Rose. This will be dedicated to my DH's grandmother as her birthday is Valentine's Day. I have not stitched her name on yet because DH wants me to include UNO somewhere...her favorite game. I am leaning toward the bird on the heart as if he is saying UNO. We shall see! I am stitching them all on one piece of 36ct Edinburgh to eventually have a wall hanging.

Winter Wonderland has been completed for a bit. This is going to my DH as he belongs to a hunt club and is manly enough to tickle his fancy! LOL

I also did the pincushion! I absolutely love how it turned out. I backed it with the fabby in the background and stuffed it with crushed walnut shells. She is displayed in DH's grandmother china cabinet...I don't have the heart to poke her with a pin! LOL

Hugs & Stitches!!

Moonlight Visitor

Hello everybody!  I am stitching my Anniversaries of the Heart on one piece of 40 ct Examplar linen by Lakeside Linens.  I'm using the suggested threads.  I dedicated this block to my maternal grandfather.
I changed the colors in the dog to represent my best buddy and faithful stitching companion, Duffy, who is a tricolor Cavalier King Charles spaniel.
My blog is Notes from Blue Hen Hollow.

Pink Hill Manor

I'm doing Anniversaries of the Heart on one piece of 40 ct Examplar by Lakeside Linens. I decided to honor my husband's mother, grandmother, and the cottage in which they lived in this block.

A little more progress...

Although I am stitching this large piece in my own sequence, it has become one of favorites to stitch on lately....maybe it is the subtle colors in each house design....

My houses of the "Anniversaries of the Heart" series are being done in a little different order.. I have fallen in love with the soft colors... I need to get back to them, but here was my progress as of a few weeks ago... I just love Blackbird Designs!!

Happy stitching to everyone, Faye
